Teaching Assistant Vacancy (Maternity)

Contract:  20 hours a week, Term time only + 10 days; Monday to Friday - 8.30am - 12.30pm

Temporary until the return of the substantive post holder. 

A job evaluation exercise is currently underway which this post is subject to.

ST CUTHBERT’S CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL

St. Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary school wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant from September 2026. We are seeking a Teaching Assistant who can work with individuals/in small groups with children in Key Stage 1 or lower Key Stage 2. The position will require someone who is able to manage behaviour effectively and ensure that pupils are supported pastorally within a positive and inclusive environment, actively contribute to planning and promote progress, someone who is flexible and adaptable to the demands of the teaching assistant role and has good organisation and communications skills. Candidates must be able to work as part of a team and have excellent written and verbal skills. The successful candidate will be committed to the values and ethos of our Catholic school and will join our team of dedicated, hardworking Teaching Assistants who all strive for high standards for all of our pupils.

This is a temporary Teaching Assistant post until the return of the substantive post holder.
