Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust offers a wide range of in-house continuing professional development opportunities for support staff, teachers and governors, helping colleagues develop their knowledge, skills and confidence throughout their careers.

Teacher Development Programmes

ECTE Programme
Our ECTE Programme supports Early Career Teachers throughout their first two years in the profession.
Training is delivered by BCCET staff using Teach First resources to complement our wider Teacher Development programmes.
National Professional Qualifications (NPQs)
National Professional Qualifications support current and aspiring leaders and are accredited by the Department for Education.
Programmes are designed by Teach First and delivered by our own highly qualified facilitators.
ECTE and NPQ training takes place at Evolve Business Centre, Houghton-le-Spring. Our ECTE and NPQ programmes are also open to colleagues beyond BCCET schools. Please contact Suzanne Robinson, Director of Teacher Development, if you would like BCCET to provide your training.
