Autumn Term 2	Mon 2 Nov – Fri 18 Dec 2026	Not applicable	The Christmas holiday begins after this term.
Spring Term 1	Mon 4 Jan – Fri 12 Feb 2027	Mon 15 Feb – Fri 19 Feb 2027	The school term resumes after the New Year holiday.
Spring Term 2	Mon 22 Feb – Thu 25 Mar 2027	Fri 26 Mar – Fri 9 Apr 2027	The Easter holiday begins after this term.
Summer Term 1	Mon 12 Apr – Fri 28 May 2027	Mon 31 May – Fri 4 Jun 2027	This term includes the May Day Bank Holiday.
Summer Term 2	Mon 7 Jun – Fri 16 Jul 2027	Summer holiday begins after term	The academic year ends Friday 16 July 2027.

Total Term Days: 192 days. Schools must teach pupils for 190 days.
Professional Development Days: Schools need to identify one PD day from the published term dates above, with a further three PD days delivered through twilight sessions or designated holidays.
Possible Election Closure: Schools should retain one day from the 192-day term envelope until late in the summer term in case the school is required to close because it is being used as a polling station. This leaves 191 days in term.
