Faith in the Community Award
I would like to nominate Mr Z. This year, he has shown exceptional commitment to caring for God’s creation and supporting our global family through their project. Mr Z guided pupils in creating practical, faith-led initiatives that benefit both the environment and our wider community. The team introduced a school recycling scheme, planted a reflective prayer garden to encourage care for nature, and partnered with the parish eco-group to monitor and improve biodiversity on our grounds. Alongside this, they organised a community food collection that supported local families in need and raised awareness of global food poverty through assemblies and class workshops. Mr Z empowered the pupils to lead meetings, plan events, and work closely with parish volunteers, giving them real responsibility and pride in their actions. This work has strengthened relationships between school, parish and community, improved sustainable practices, and provided vital support to vulnerable families. Mr Z and the team have demonstrated faith in action in a meaningful, lasting way, and I am proud to nominate them for this award.
Governance Award
I would like to nominate Miss Y, Chair of Governors, for this award. Her commitment, professionalism and tireless voluntary service have had a profound impact on our school and the young people we serve. Miss Y consistently goes beyond the expectations of her role. She provides a thorough oversight of school performance, regularly meeting with leaders to review progress, challenge areas requiring improvement and celebrate successes. Her understanding of curriculum, safeguarding and finance ensures that decisions are well-informed and always centred on improving outcomes for pupils. She has played a key role in ensuring value for money by scrutinising spending plans, monitoring the impact of investments, and helping the school create long-term, sustainable strategies. Her ability to balance support with appropriate challenge has strengthened leadership practice across the school. Miss Y also leads the governing body with clarity and compassion, ensuring all governors feel confident, trained and empowered in their roles. Her dedication, integrity and expertise make her an outstanding role model within governance. For her exceptional service and the positive difference, she continues to make, I wholeheartedly nominate Miss Y for this award.
