Staff Development
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Ensuring the professional development of all our staff is important to us and we offer a wide-range of in-house CPD sessions for our support staff, teachers and governors. These cover a range of topics from GDPR and Safeguarding to People Management and Health and Safety. This supports our staff to be the best version of themselves. We are also committed to succession planning and supporting professional development of all of our people.
In terms of teacher development we offer a SCITT scheme which allows those with a degree to train to teach in a year – here is a link to our SCITT page to find out more.
We also offer:
- ECT Programme – Early Career Teachers or ECT’s are teaching staff who are in the first two years of their teaching career. These teachers will be signed up with our appropriate body, Tees Valley Teaching Schools Hub, based in Hartlepool. All training is delivered by Teach First to compliment our other Teacher Development programmes.
- NPQ’s –National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) are the most widely recognised qualifications in the education sector for current and aspiring leaders. Accredited by the Department for Education (DfE), NPQs provide leadership training and support for teachers, school leaders and early years professionals at all levels. We’re delighted to work with Teach First who have designed the NPQs. We have our own team of highly qualified facilitators for the courses we offer making them bespoke to our Trust schools and staff.
